Outcome A women's eight swamped and sank - everybody rescued 
Description After a race crews had quite a long wait to disembark on the single pontoon and during this waiting period there were a number of bad washes. A women's eight filled up and sank. Seven of them swam about 20 yards to the 4' high quay wall and managed to get ashore via a moored boat with help from the numerous onlookers. One woman and the cox stayed with the boat.
