Date Late 1990's
Location Tideway, London
Water Temperature Not known
Boat(s) involved 4+ (bowloader)
Boat Construction Janousek-style
Outcome Managed to 'row' the boat to shore whereby approximately 12 people were required to take it from the water. All people involved were uninjured.
Description Late morning paddle in bow-loading 4+. We became swamped when over 10 large cruise boats came by in succession causing huge waves which continually broke over the boat.

The boat quickly sank below the surface of the water, yet we were still able to sit in it. The cox was forced to share the bow person's seat.
