Outcome All four self-rescued through wearing PFDs 
Description There was a swamping on the River Rhine at km 704 on Easter Sunday. The boat belonged to the rowing club at the city of Neuss (Neusser RV). All four rowers could rescue themselves quickly due to the fact, that they all had their automatic lifevests on. Neusser RV have made it compulsory for all members going out on the River Rhine, that they have to wear automatic lifevests. They decided to do so after they had two fatalities in the nineties.
