Outcome All rowers picked up within 5 minutes by coaches launch, boat towed (without damage!) back to house. 
Description Novice rower in two-seat caught over the head crab, at the same time stroke seat's oarlock came undone. Both port side oars now parallel to shell. Shell slowly rolls over to port side.
